How it works

From application to episode, here's what happens.

  1. Apply

    Tell us who you are and the story you'd want to tell. It takes about five minutes.

  2. We get in touch

    If it's a fit, we'll call to talk through your story, lock in a date and ask the big question: what are you drinking?

  3. Record in Penrith

    Come into our studio in Penrith, NSW. Block out two hours; the conversation itself runs 60 to 90 minutes.

  4. Your episode goes live

    It goes out on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, with its own page on this site and clips to share.

Questions

Do I need a big following?

No. Some of our best episodes are with people most of the internet hasn't met yet. The story matters more than the follower count.

Do I have to drink alcohol?

Not at all. A mocktail, your coffee order or a glass of water all count. Hannah Diviney chose water and it was one of our best episodes.

How long does recording take?

Block out two hours. The conversation itself usually runs 60 to 90 minutes, with time either side to settle in and get set up.

Where do you record?

In our studio in Penrith, NSW. If getting there is tricky, tell us in your application.

Will I see questions beforehand?

We'll talk through the topics with you before the day so you know where the conversation is heading. It's a conversation, not a script.
